Custom PC builds FAQ
How much does it cost to have a custom PC built in Spring Hill, TN?
Side Quest PCs charges a $199 flat fee to spec, build, tune, and stress test a gaming PC or workstation, and $149 for a home office PC. Parts are separate, and the part list is matched to your budget.
What's the difference between a gaming PC and a workstation?
Gaming builds put most of the budget into the graphics card for high frame rates. Workstations favor CPU cores, memory, and fast storage for editing, 3D, and CAD. Many builds can do both well, and I'll balance the parts for how you'll actually use it.
Do I need a custom PC for home office work?
Not always. A good prebuilt computer can be fine for email and spreadsheets. A custom build is quieter, easier to upgrade, and has no preinstalled junk. I'll tell you honestly which makes more sense.
Can I buy my own parts?
Yes. Buy the parts yourself from my list or your own, or have me source them. Build labor is warranted for 30 days, and parts are covered by their manufacturers' warranties.
Can you move my files and games from my old PC?
Yes. A data transfer to your new build is $99 and covers files, photos, and bookmarks.
